The Ryan STA represents one of the sleekest vintage aviation designs of the Golden Era. The Ryan Company of San Diego owns the history of building one of the most recognizable aviation aircraft in history, The Spirit of St. Louis. The Ryan STA sported a 125hp Menasco C-4 engine and sold for $4,685. Its sleek appearance is captured with its large rounded cowl and wheel pants. Some may not realize the Ryan STA was an aerobatic champion and a low-wing pioneer, all in one.
The Ultra RC Ryan STA is constructed of precision laser-cut balsa and ply. It offers a wide-stance gear enabling smooth take-offs and landings. The Ryan will fly fast, or it will fly slow and “easy”. Full power passes and the Ryan is rather quick, nimble, and aerobatic. Fly it slow and scale, the Ryan is very stabile and predictable. The Ryan is a great choice for formation flying so recruit a few of your friends and get together for a great day of flying fun.
Ultra RC offers the Ryan in two versions. You can purchase the ARF airplane only. Or for the ultimate in performance, quality, and convenience get the “Ultra Combo” which also includes an OX22-13 Out-runner Brushless Motor, 20amp ESC, motor mount, and prop adapter.
